Welcome to the Wandon Park website

Welcome to the Wandon Park website where you can find out about Bloor Homes’ proposals to develop a new sustainable community of approximately 1,000 high quality homes on land between Tea Green and Cockernhoe, north east of Wigmore, Luton.

Wandon Park has been carefully designed with substantial green buffers between new development and existing communities, thereby helping to protect the identity of nearby villages. The proposals include a range of essential community facilities for recreation, education and leisure, as well as an emphasis on maintaining a large proportion of green space. They include:

  • Approximately 1,000 homes including bungalows
  • Local centre with shops and a community hall
  • Two form entry primary school catering for new residents
  • New road taking traffic away from Cockernhoe and new bus services
  • New and improved footpaths and cycleways
  • Public open spaces including parks, sports pitches and allotments
  • Improvements to existing woodland and new woodland planting incorporating woodland walks

A planning application for the proposed development was submitted to North Hertfordshire District Council on 19 August 2013. See the News section for more details.
